Colorectal Surgery
Colon, rectum
and anus.
With the aid of
the colonoscopy, pathology of the colon, rectum and anus can be
diagnosed accurately. Polyps (small growths within the colon) can be
removed at the same time and sent for laboratory evaluation to assess
if cancerous or not. Other interventional procedures may be done such
as:
- Colonic
stent placement for cancer or large bowel obstruction - ESD(endoscopic
submucosal dissection). - EMR
(endoscopic mucosal resection).

All our colorectal procedures are done Laparoscopically these include:
- Segmental
colon resection for colon cancer or certain benign conditions. - Low anterior
resection for rectal cancer. - Abdomino-perineal
(AP) resections for anal cancer. - Trans-anal
total mesorectal excision (TATME) for rectal cancers. - Rectopexy
for rectal prolapsed. - Acute and
chronic peri-anal pathologies are also actively managed.
