Hepatopancreaticobilliary Surgery
Liver, gallbladder and pancreas.
We can evaluate this system using endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatogram or ERCP with the aid of endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) in some instances. Common ailments include gallstone disease, pancreas and liver pathology.
All procedures are performed with the aid of Laparoscopy.
This includes:
- Cholecystectomy for gallstones or active inflammation of the gallbladder.
- Common bile duct exploration for common bile duct stones.
- Segmental liver resections for cancer.
- Whipple procedure for cancer of the pancreas.
- Distal pancreatectomy for cancers of the pancreas.
