Dr Zimba
Dr MT Zimba qualified with an MBChB at the then University of Natal in 2002. After his internship, he joined the department of surgery in Tembisa hospital as a medical officer gaining extensive experience in general surgery.
Fellow of the College of Surgeons
In 2013 he started his specialist training at Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University / Dr George Mukhari academic hospital under the auspices of Professor Zach Koto. He became a Fellow of the Colleges of Surgery of South Africa [FCS (SA)] in 2017.
He is a keen Laparoscopic surgeon with a special interest in hernia surgery and abdominal wall reconstruction. He has previously worked at Tembisa hospital as a specialist and head of the clinical unit for which he was involved in medical student and resident training for the University of Pretoria.
